The new concert hall Lielais Dzintars is a centre of regional culture and events. The concert hall Lielais Dzintars covers 14,126 m² on eight storeys. Three concert halls are operated: Large Hall with 1,000 seats, Chamber Hall with 200 seats and Experimental Stage with 120 seats. The architectural concept created by the distinguished Austrian architect, Prof. Volker Giencke, is based on the symbol of Liepaja – amber of the coast of Latvia and the Baltic Sea, as well as its function as a centre of the art and culture. Counterfloor construction works were performed on this site, including coating of the floor sound/thermal insulation system Thermowhite (WD 100R + PE 5/300).
